Dye Sublimation, as a process is really very simple. It is the method of applying an image to specially coated ceramics, metals and polyester cloth, using three main ingredients: sublimation ink, sublimation transfer paper and heat press machine.
Sublimation ink is unique in its ability to convert from a solid to a gas without going through a liquid form. The conversion is initiated by heat and controlled with pressure and time. Hard items such as ceramic, fiber board, metals, etc. requires a special coating to accept the sublimation inks. You must purchase the mugs, tiles, metals, etc. with the coating already on them instead of make the coating by yourself. We carry a full line of these sublimation blanks. When you apply to 100% polyester, you do not need any coating.
You can purchase dye sublimation inks for Epson printers to do sublimation printing. The sublimation inks are something you would need to buy from a company such as ours and the sublimation transfer paper that you would print these inks on we also supply. This paper has a special finish on the surface, so the inks do not soak into the paper. After you print the transfer paper, then it is placed on the product to be applied with a heat press. We provide all weights for you, including 30gsm, 45gsm, 50gsm, 57gsm, 60gsm, 75gsm, 80gsm, 90gsm, 100gsm, 120gsm with length 100m, 120m, 150m, 200m, 300m, 5000m, 7000m, etc.
