Below are some tips to judge the easily confused vinyl types, such as PU vinyl & PVC vinyl; PU vinyl & PVC vinyl & PU Printable vinyl; Metallic vinyl & Soft metallic vinyl.
Part A - - - How to judge the PU Vinyl with PVC Vinyl?
PU Vinyl is more soft than PVC Vinyl, and PU vinyl is light stretchable. PU vinyl Price is higher than PVC vinyl. PVC is harder, and it is non stretchable.
Part B - - - How to judge white PU Vinyl, white PVC Vinyl and PU Printable vinyl?
Judge by the surface. After cutting and weeding the blank parts, if the vinyl can not transfer onto fabric, then it is PU Printable. That way is judge by the application, PU Printable vinyl are using matches transfer film, without transfer film to transfer the printing surface face up, then it can not heat onto garments.
Part C - - - How to judge the Metallic vinyl with Soft Metallic vinyl?
Judge by the backing side, Soft metallic vinyls’ backing side is white color, but Metallic vinyls’ backing side is looks like semi-transparent. In addition, Soft Metallic vinyl is much softer than Metallic vinyl. And Soft Metallic vinyl is light stretchable too.
